Continuously inspired by the beauty and design of nature. Spending much of my time outdoors in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, patterns and colors which make up our forests here have deeply influenced my style.
Google Earth has been another source of inspiration—exploring aerial views of our planet, and many of my watercolor and canvas paintings are interpretations of land formations across the globe.

Inspired by images of Earth from above, my watercolors are first sketched out to mimic river beds, valleys, and other geographic features. Often, numerous layers of paint are added before finishing touches using pen and charcoal for dimension and attention too areas of detail.

Inspired by the Dune trilogy and Hans Zimmer’s scores. Design elements are an interpretation of the deserts in Utah.
Big fan of Frank Herbert’s series Dune. On March 1st I went to see the premiere of Dune II. Of course I cried the whole way through. Many congrats to director Denis Villeneuve on executing this complex and rich storyline. Of course nothing compares to the books, however the movie is a work of art. Hans Zimmer composed the most magnificent music to enrich this film.
Needless to say I’m deeply inspired by these brilliant minds. This watercolor is titled ‘Beginnings Are Such Delicate Times’ after Hans Zimmer’s composition. Planning to continue exploring these colors of the desert.
